Developer The Chinese Room has unveiled a brand-new trailer showcasing some gameplay footage from the team’s upcoming first-person narrative-centric horror game, Still Wakes the Deep. For those who haven’t been following the project, Still Wakes the Deep is set aboard a massive, seemingly abandoned oil rig situated off the coast of Scotland, protagonist Caz McLeary must find a way out before the whole structure comes crashing down. However, the place isn’t quite as abandoned as it seems, and there’s an otherworldly horror on board as well – probably the kind you wouldn’t want to run into. Still Wakes the Deep is currently scheduled to launch in 2024 for PC, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5, and was inspired by movies such as Annihilation, Kes, and Rosemary’s Baby, to give you a general idea of what to expect.
