Titled “Fair/Unfair”, the video introduces narration from both our nun protagonist, Indika, and the insidious voice of the devil inside her head as it contemplates the unfairness of life. The game, which has been one of my favorite upcoming projects ever since I’ve experienced its brief demo, is inspired by directors like Yorgos Lanthimos, Ari Aster and Darren Aronofsky, alongside literary giants such as Bulgakov, Dostoevsky and Gogol – it tells the story of a young nun who journeys outside the safe walls of her monastery, enduring the constant chattering of the evil entity inside her while having to face various questions regarding authority and the foundations of her own religion.
