While there have been many games trying to adapt the works of famed storyteller H.P. Lovecraft in the form of video games (in fact, we reviewed one earlier this year), the recently announced Moons of Madness takes a slightly different approach – it brings its story straight to Mars. Indeed, in Rock Pocket Games’ upcoming first person psychological horror game, players will take on the role of Shane Newehart, an astronaut on Mars – it is through his hallucinations that we’ll get to shed light on both his past, as well as whatever supernatural horrors lurk on the red planet.
Moons of Madness is currently scheduled to be released in Q1 2018 for PC, Xbox One and PS4. In the meantime, check out the trailer below:
