Pry Into The Void, the monster-taming RPG from developer Ernest Placido, has released an updated demo and a new trailer to go with it. Taking place in a dying realm, the game will follow protagonist Josef as he’s plunged into the Void with the task of defeating the evil entity draining the world of its very life. During your adventures, you’ll meet and converse with a variety of unique monsters, each with their own stories and moral dilemmas to solve; then, once you’ve successfully recruited these creatures to your team, you’ll engage in turn-based battles where exploiting enemy weaknesses is key – much like in franchises such as Shin Megami Tensei and Pokemon, both of which serve as the project’s main inspirations. As for the new and updated demo that released alongside the latest trailer, it offers some expanded story sequences with an additional cutscene, along with new gameplay mechanics, including so-called Battle Challenges that offer extra rewards in battles if you complete specific criteria.
If you’ve yet to try it, you can grab the demo now from Steam. And while you do that, here’s the aforementioned trailer for your viewing pleasure:
