Monster Hunter, the wildly popular game series about, well, hunting monsters and such, will be returning to the 3DS, but not necessarily in the way many may have expected. The new project, announced at a recent Monster Hunter Festa event in Japan, is titled Monster Hunter Stories, and will be a full-on roleplaying game, with a brand new look and art style. There’s a trailer, too, just to showcase said new – and delightfully colorful – look. Information regarding the actual game is quite scarce at present: what we do know, though, is that it’s currently scheduled to be released in Japan sometime in 2016. No word on a western release just yet, but we’re hopeful.
