Developer Inklingwood Studios has launched a Kickstarter campaign for Foolish Mortals, a point & click adventure game inspired by classics such as Monkey Island and Broken Sword. Starring an ambitious, treasure hunter called Murphy McCallan, the game will have players set out on a grandiose quest to track down the lost treasure of Bellemore Manor as they encounter a cast of unique characters and solve oodles of brain-teasing puzzles. Ghosts, voodoo magic, and countless mysteries await those who heed the call of adventure and travel to the island of Devil’s Rock, but be warned: you’re not the only one looking for the treasure. The project’s Kickstarter campaign has already been fully funded at the time of writing, which means it’s time for the stretch goals to shine – as the project page details, these would add two bonus locations, a whole new puzzle chain, as well as new animations and even an interactive song puzzle to the game.
