Microsoft announced at Mexico City’s X018 event that it has acquired both Obsidian Entertainment and inXile Entertainment. The two popular RPG developers have been responsible for a number of memorable roleplaying titles over the years: Obsidian is known for games like Knights of the Old Republic 2, Fallout: New Vegas and Pillars of Eternity, among many others, while inXile gave us Wasteland 2, Torment: Tides of Numenera and the recently released The Bard's Tale IV: Barrows Deep, just to name a few.
