Indie developer Tom Hardwidge has launched his Kickstarter campaign for Lucy Dreaming, a 2D point & click adventure game that looks like it could’ve been made in the early 1990s – and that’s kind of the point, really. Hoping the recapture the magic of that era, Lucy Dreaming stars a young girl with recurring nightmares who – as the titles also implies – goes on a wild lucid dreaming adventure full of oddball characters, quirky humor and all the retro-style pixel art you could ever want. The Kickstarter campaign is aiming to hit an initial goal of L15,000, with several stretch goals already planned; what’s more, there’s also a fully-voiced playable demo available for download over at Steam and Itch.io if you’d like to take a crack at the adventure before pledging.
