Bloober Team, the developers behind Layers of Fear, Observer and last year’s Blair Witch video game adaptation, have announced The Medium, their latest forage into the world of psychological horror. As the title implies, you play as a medium with access to both the real world and the spiritual realm, and travel to a hotel resort after seeing visions of a child’s murder in order to shed light on the truth. Bloober Team describe the project as their most ambitious game yet – a story where nothing is what it seems and there’s no simple answer to any one mystery. The Medium’s soundtrack is notably being composed by Bloober’s very own Arkadiusz Reikowski, as well as the legendary Akira Yamaoka, known primarily as the composer for the famed Silent Hill series.
