Set in an alternate, steampunk-ish version of the 19th century and inspired by the works Poe and Dickens, Lamplight City stars private investigator Miles Fordham as he tries to unravel the many secrets of the town… which would be all well and good, except for the fact that the ghost of his murdered partner keeps talking to him. Lamplight City is being developed by Grundislav Games, the creator of A Golden Wake and Shardlight, and has you investigate five cases with several suspects, false leads and a variety of different outcomes. Fascinatingly enough, it doesn’t expect you to solve each and every one of them – if any one case becomes too much for you to handle, you can move on to the next one and the story will change accordingly, which is interesting, to say the least.
Lamplight City is expected to be released this year.
