The special Director’s Cut version of Kathy Rain, a retro-style point and click adventure game from 2016, will be launching on October 26, developer Clifftop Games and publisher Raw Fury have revealed. The game stars the titular Kathy Rain, a young journalist major who returns to her hometown in order to investigate the mysterious death of her grandfather, and eventually finds herself caught up in more than she had bargained for. Aside from various tweaks and visual improvements, the Director’s Cut edition is set to feature new puzzles, additional areas to explore, as well as an extended ending and hundreds of extra lines of dialogue, offering plenty of new things to discover even for those who have already completed the original.
