Developer NEKCOM Entertainment and publisher 2P Games have revealed Showa American Story, an action-packed RPG that blends 80s Japanese pop culture with iconic, American landmarks and environments. Taking place in an alternate timeline where Japan’s economic prowess wins out against the US, thus leading to the American continent being inevitably influenced by Japanese culture, the game stars Choko, a young woman who mysteriously comes back to life, only to find the entire world in a post-apocalyptic, zombie-infested state. Eager to shed some light on the secrets of her new circumstances, she sets out on a dangerous journey that, at least based on the announcement trailer alone, will feature a mouth-watering blend of American and Japanese cultures, with a generous helping of zombie slaying. Have a look at it below:

Showa American Story is set to release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC. It has no announced released date as of yet.
