Ion Maiden, a game that looks and feels like FPS classics such as Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior, and Blood, is out now on Steam Early Access. Running on the same Build engine as the above classics, Ion Maiden’s current version allows you access to a “multi-hour preview campaign”, with the final game arriving sometime in Q3 2018 for PC/Mac/Linux and featuring seven large zones. Ion Maiden is not without modern additions, either: though it retains the classic action and level design of its forefathers, it adds some extra bells and whistles, including physics and checkpoints. The team also urges us to “stay tuned” when mentioning multiplayer, so it’s probably safe to assume that will also happen at one point in the future.
