Inspired by Castlevania and the Souls series, Dark Devotion is a 2D indie roguelike inviting you on a journey into a mysterious temple teeming with things waiting to kill you. Enemies hit hard and resources are scarce – what’s more, each door automatically closes behind you once you pass through them. In other words, the moment you choose a path, you’re stuck with it. The team behind Dark Devotion is currently running a Kickstarter campaign, which is a little over 50% funded at the time of writing – for funding to be successful, the team needs to reach the campaign’s initial goal of €20,000. Not sure if the game is worth your pledge? Good news, then, because the campaign offers a playable demo you can download right now. The free version is the so-called “light demo”, which includes one explorable path and one boss; however, backers who donate at least €20 will have access to the „heavy demo”, which comes with more bosses and four different paths to explore.

If all goes according to plan, Dark Devotion will be out next summer, on August 30, 2018.
