Developer Endflame and publisher PM Studios have revealed a March 29 launch date for Ikai, a first-person psychological horror game based on Japanese legends and folklore. Focusing less on flashy action and more on creating a tense atmosphere, Ikai puts you in the role of a largely defenseless main character who must use her wits and puzzle-solving abilities to survive – or run away and hide, should the situation call for it. The story focuses on Naoko, a young priestess who, in the absence of the head priest, soon finds herself assailed by supernatural forces that seek to find passage into our world. For those hoping to get a taste of the otherworldly adventure, there’s also a playable demo available to download via Steam.

Ikai will be launching on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and the Nintendo Switch.
