Publisher 2P Games has unveiled Outlying Island, a mystery/horror game with visuals that may very well catch you by surprise in terms of how... deliciously nightmarish they are. Starring a young girl with fuzzy memories who washes up on a mysterious island teeming with bizarre abominations, the game will have you explore your surroundings and solve puzzles while taking a deep dive into a world that’s delightfully grotesque, in a Junji Ito/Silent Hill kind of way. But as the old Nietzsche saying – and the game itself – warns us: stare long enough into the abyss, and it may very well become a part of you, as indicated by the project’s fairly disturbing body horror imagery. Needless to say, I, for one, can’t wait to peek into this particular abyss.
