According to MangaGamer’s
latest announcement, the much-anticipated hard sci-fi/romance
visual novel Himawari will be releasing next month, on December 9. In the game, protagonist Hinata Youichi has lost all his memories in a tragic plane crash; following the accident, he tries to lead an average life, until he meets a mysterious – and similarly amnesiac – young girl called Aries, whose appearance changes everything. The plot then goes on to take a number of unexpected twists and turns, revealing the truth behind Youichi’s lost memories. Don’t let appearances fool you, though: despite its fairly cute visual style, Himawari tells a very serious hard sci-fi story with romance.
The game is currently up for pre-order on MangaGamer’s official site, and will also be coming to Steam.
