Studio Pixel Punk, the developers behind 2021’s pixel art action-adventure game UNSIGHTED, have announced their latest project: a 3D metroidvania titled ABYSS X ZERO. Sporting some delightfully retro-style graphics, ABYSS X ZERO will follow the action-packed exploits of two wildly different characters – Codename A and Codename Z – as they explore massive dungeons and tackle the various obstacles in their way while trying to fight each other. The trailer itself already looks promising enough: vibrant, anime-inspired character designs meet a decidedly retro, low-poly visual style as our characters jump, slash, run and drive across a variety of interesting zones – but hey, don’t take my word for it, have a look yourself:

ABYSS X ZERO has been announced for PC, but will be arriving to other platforms as well.
