The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication, an upcoming supernatural horror game from developer Softstar Entertainment and publisher Gamera Games, will be launching later this year not just for PC, but consoles as well – specifically, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Switch. In other words, pretty much everything. Serving as a sequel to The Bridge Curse: Road to Salvation, as well as a “reimagined adaptation” of the movie The Bridge Curse 2: Ritual, the game will take you to a school campus where, as you might imagine, things don’t exactly go as planned. When a group of students decide to use a bizarre old case as the basis of their horror movie, mysterious things start happening – what’s more, a curious reporter also starts investigating the campus, hoping to shed light on some unpleasant secrets. Eventually, you’ll encounter a rather hostile ghost as well, which is pretty much standard procedure with these type of games, but The Bridge Curse 2, based on my experiences with its demo, really excels in terms of execution – in my Steam Next Fest coverage from last October, I praised the demo’s somber atmosphere and genuinely terrifying ghost chase scene, finding the overall experience to be a very pleasant surprise.
