The recently held Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV event included a number of new information and announcements regarding the highly expected JRPG title from Square Enix. Let’s get the basics out of the way: the release date was announced as September 30 on PS4 and Xbox One.

A separate demo called the Platinum Demo was also released for free, offering a completely separate story that focuses on protagonist Noctis as a child, and is already available for download on both consoles.

Additionally, a CG movie titled Kingsglaive serving as a setup for the events of the game will be released in 2016, featuring voices by Sean Bean, Lena Headey and Aaron Paul.

For fans of more traditional animation, a five-episode anime series revolving around the characters is also being released under the title Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV. All episodes will be available for free – the first of these is already up on Youtube.
