Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata has left Square Enix – additionally, three out of the four planned DLC episodes for FFXV (Episodes Noctis, Lunafreya and Aranea) have been cancelled, the company confirmed recently during an informational live stream. The one remaining DLC chapter, Episode Ardyn, is still being worked on, with Square Enix shooting for a March 2019 launch; a brief anime project titled Episode Ardyn Prologue will also be released to further flesh out the character. On the multiplayer front, it has been revealed that Comrades will be released as a standalone title on December 12 (NA) and 13 (Europe) for $9.99, but only on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will be available free of charge for players who had already purchased a previous version of it in the past. And last but not least, we’ll also be getting a Final Fantasy XIV/XV collaboration titled “Adventurer from Another World” – this new in-game quest will be available as a free update on December 12 (NA) and 13 (Europe).
