Fans of Final Fantasy XIV have received an exciting bouquet of new information during the game’s Fan Festival in Paris – indeed, Square Enix’s massively popular MMORPG will be getting tons of new content in the form of a new job, an additional playable race, and much, much more in its upcoming summer expansion titled Shadowbringers. Right off the bat, we have two new areas called Il Mheg and the Rak’tika Greatwood to look forward to, as well as a brand-new job in the form of the gunblade-toting Gunbreaker, who will fill in the role of a tank in the party. After much waiting and anticipation, the team has also finally revealed the Viera, Final Fantasy XII’s reclusive bunny girls, as a fully playable race in the expansion. Another interesting surprise came in the form of the announcement of a new alliance raid: YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse, as its title no doubt makes it quite obvious, will be a collaboration between Final Fantasy XIV and 2017’s action RPG hit Nier: Automata.
