Studio Cima has announced The Perfect Pencil, a psychological, narrative-centric adventure game that will take you on a journey of personal introspection. Starring John, a man trapped in a mysterious world, The Perfect Pencil aims to be a metaphorical trip into the human psyche (laden with countless allegories and symbols) that explores personal fears and anxieties, then presents you with ways to overcome them; discovering the game’s unique world and characters will also help you better understand their hidden meanings, and thus make choices that will all have their own consequences. It’s a project that, in my opinion, tackles an exceedingly important topic, and I can only hope that it will handle the subject matter with the necessary grace and commitment.
