Cereal Games’ film noir-esque pixel art action-RPG, Pecaminosa, will be launching in early 2021. Taking place in a pixelated version of the 1940s, the game stars John Souza, a private eye and former cop who gets an unexpected otherworldly visit from the ghost of Charlie “Two Angels”, a deceased mob boss – thing is, Charlie wants to go to Heaven, but in order to do so, he first needs to redeem himself by taking out his former associates. And that’s where Souza comes into the picture. The game is set to feature a moody 1940s atmosphere with a smooth, jazzy soundtrack and a city brought to life with delicate pixel art. Playing like an action-RPG, Pecaminosa will allow John to be custom-tailored with a variety of clothes and weapons, as well as four different stats to pour experience points into – but if you’d prefer to go for a spot of Blackjack at the local casino, that’s also an option. Here’s a gameplay trailer:

Pecaminosa will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch.
