I think it’s safe to say that post-apocalyptic titles form a major trend in gaming – from shooters to strategy games, we’ve seen plenty of projects explore what it would be like to live in a world where life as we know it has already come to an end. However, it’s always refreshing to see a new take on a familiar subject, especially if it’s in a genre I hold in very high regard. Rauniot is a point & click adventure game developed by Act Normal Games, and in its world, mankind fell victim to a devastating natural disaster in 1975 – entire continents were flooded, children were born mutated, and fun times were had by none. Brought to life through gorgeous-looking isometric visuals, the story of Rauniot will focus on the adventures of a survivor called Aino, and will take place primarily in Northern Finland. It’s currently set to launch sometime in 2021, and looks rather promising so far.
