Developer Studio Cut to Bits and publisher Aniplex have announced Venture to the Vile, an upcoming side-scrolling action-adventure game with an intriguing premise. The game is set in a Victorian-inspired world that’s being invaded by The Vile, a corrupting influence that grotesquely transforms everything it touches… including you. Placed in the role of a protagonist whose right arm has been infected by the corruption, players will have to journey across a dangerous land in search of their missing friend – that said, although the Vile grants the main character untold powers, it’s also gradually robbing him of his humanity, turning him into the very thing he’s fighting against.
