The development of Dawngate, a MOBA title not entirely unlike League of Legends and DOTA2, has been cancelled, EA’s Matt Bromberg announced earlier. The game, developed by Waystone Games, has been in beta for roughly 18 months, as well as open beta for the past six, but was not showing the progress and improvements the company was hoping for, he explained. Now, if you’re an existing player, one piece of not-so-bad news you might be interested in – at the very least – is that the game will still be functioning and playable for the next 90 days, after which the full shutdown will be carried out.

Furthermore, Bromberg added that all players that have previously spent any amount of money during the beta will be entitled to a full refund – this will be processed within the next 10 days. Bromberg’s full statement can be read over here.
