Developer rose-engine has revealed a new trailer for sci-fi survival horror game Signalis. Signalis invites you to a dystopian world of dark corridors with flickering lights and unspeakable horrors – according to the storyline, Elster, a technician Replika, crash-lands on a distant planet and ends up having to venture into an abandoned reeducation facility in search of answers. The game offers a traditional survival horror experience in the vein of Resident Evil and Silent Hill, presented with the visual flair of a classic sci-fi anime; it promises to be a slow-paced psychological journey with elements of cosmic horror (eagle-eyed trailer viewers have no doubt spotted a book titled The King in Yellow), and indeed, what I’ve seen of it so far looks beyond impressive. Signalis is currently in development for PC, with no specific release date set.
