DreadOutPlatform: PC, OS XGenre: Survival HorrorDeveloper: Digital HappinessPublisher: PT Digital Semantika IndonesiaRelease: 05/15/2014You may remember DreadOut as the horror game from Indonesian developer Digital Happiness that followed in the footsteps of cult classic survival horror series Fatal Frame – in fact, I even reviewed it back in the day and found it a tad bit lacking, though maybe that’s just me. DreadOut gave you control of a young lady with a camera, and featured horrific locations where your only option to defeat your spectral enemies was to take photos of them. Well, the game is now back with a brand new standalone title called Keepers of The Dark that spices things up a bit by introducing 13+ new ghosts to encounter on a total of eight levels. And not just any old ghosts, either: these were designed by creative backers during the game’s IndieGogo campaign. The events of Keepers of the Dark chronologically take place near the end of the original game, where protagonist Linda was transported to the so-called Mirror Realm.

DreadOut: Keepers of the Dark is out now on PC.
