Capcom’s fantasy action-RPG, Dragon’s Dogma, will be getting an original anime series as the result of a partnership between Netflix and Sublimation. Much like the game, the anime will follow the exploits of a hero called the Arisen, who faced a dragon in battle and had his heart stolen by the beast.

Dragon’s Dogma was originally released in 2012 for PS3 and Xbox 360 – it was lauded for its stylish battle system and memorable boss fights that involved pulling off insane stunts such as climbing atop building-sized monsters, Shadow of the Colossus-style. The original release was later followed by an updated version titled Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, which included a number of changes and even added a brand-new location to the game.
