A certain group of wacky minds are at it again – Double Fine, the studio behind games including Broken Age, Psychonauts and Brutal Legend, have announced their new project, and it’s looking about as Double Fine-y as you might expect. Okay, so hear me out here: the game – titled Headlander – takes place in retro sci-fi universe based on the 70s, where people have transferred their minds into robotic bodies. You – as the last proper human – are a disembodied head capable of latching onto bodies, thus taking control of them. As the trailer shows, that includes robot dog bodies as well, just in case you were wondering (and we know you were).

So there you have it: Headlander most certainly seems to have that classic Double Fine flavor to it, which is a good sign. The game is currently slated for a 2016 release and will be published by Adult Swim Games.
