Developer Dark Lord and Publisher Daedalic Entertainment have announced Glitchpunk, a cyberpunk action game that draws inspiration from classic top-down shooters like Grand Theft Auto 2. As a glitched-out android, you’ll get to walk the streets of a dark and dystopian metropolis, steal cars and wreak havoc in a quest to go against your own programming and make life a living hell for the evil megacorps and tyrannical governments that rule the future with an iron fist. Ride cars, trains, bikes and various other vehicles to achieve your goals, use your hacking abilities to control the minds of pedestrians, or complete quests for local gangs as you explore four distinctly different cityscapes.

Here’s the announcement trailer:

Glitchpunk is scheduled to hit Early Access in the first half of 2021. Additionally, a playable demo will be available for the game during the Steam Game Festival (February 3-9).
