Divinity: Original Sin devs already working on two new RPGs

Divinity: Original Sin developer Larian Studios is a busy place: after releasing Divinity: Original Sin back in June, they’re now working hard to improve this and that in the game, including the UI, the loot system, story, dialogues and so on, according to a recently published blog post. Oh, and did I say they’re also working on two new RPGs? Well, they are. Larian has not shared too many details regarding these projects other than the fact that they’ll be running on Divinity: Original Sin’s engine – which, by the way, is great news. Why? Because while Original Sin had to be built from scratch, this won’t be the case with the new games – and as you can imagine, having a solid engine from the get-go is definitely an advantageous position to be in. “It’s an important thing, because it means that whatever we fix in D:OS, will automatically be present in our new RPGs. It also means that we can spend most of our resources on developing new cool stuff without having to reinvent things that worked well already”, CEO Swen Vincke explained.

Larian is also asking for your opinions: if there were elements of Original Sin you didn’t quite enjoy or thought could be improved, know that the company is very much listening and is planning to implement fan feedback as the team begins working on its future projects.
