Dishonored 2Platform: PC, PS4, XBox OneGenre: Action-adventure, StealthDeveloper: Arkane StudiosPublisher: Bethesda SoftworksRelease: 11/11/2016Bethesda has revealed the release date for Arkane’s upcoming stealth-action title Dishonored 2 – the game, often mentioned as the spiritual successor to the Thief franchise, will be launching on PC, PS4 and Xbox One this fall, on November 11. The game’s storyline is set 15 years after the events of the first Dishonored, and will feature two playable characters: Corvo Attano (the first game’s protagonist) as well as Emily Kaldwin, the young Empress. We have also learned that gameplay footage from the title will debut at E3 2016 on June 12 – the event will also be available to view online, streamed via Bethesda’s Twitch and YouTube channels.
Additionally, GameInformer’s coverage revealed some of the voice actors involved with the project. The list looks a bit like this:
Stephen Russell – Corvo Attano
Erica Luttrell – Emily Kaldwin
Vincent D'Onofrio – Luca Abele
Rosario Dawson – Meagan Foster
Pedro Pascal – Paolo
Robin Lord Taylor – The Outsider
Sam Rockwell – Mortimer Ramsey
Jamie Hector – Liam Byrne
For fans of Game of Thrones, Pedro Pascal’s name no doubt rings quite a few bells – he appeared in the role of the charismatic Oberyn Martell. The biggest surprise, however, comes as Stephen Russell’s involvement as Corvo – for anyone unfamiliar with Russell, he voiced the iconic Garrett in the Thief franchise, but sadly did not reprise his role in 2014’s reboot, much to fans’ disappointment. You could even say Dishonored 2 might be planning to fill that void, which now makes us anticipate the game even more than before.
