The Lady, the surreal and highly depressing puzzle-horror game is now available for download. In the game, players control the titular lady and guide her through a hellish fever dream of a landscape dominated by her own depression, struggles and inner fears, all appearing in a symbolic way. In terms of gameplay, The Lady offers something similar to classic SNES era titles, along with bizarre puzzle-solving sections and arcade-style battles. To cut a long story short – it is probably the trailer itself that – with its visual nature – describes best the haunting atmosphere that The Lady radiates, so for those interested, I would start by watching that. I’m almost certain that the title will most definitely not be everyone’s cup of tea – some may be repulsed by it –, but its sheer uniqueness is at least something we can all acknowledge.
