INDIKAPlatform: WindowsGenre: AdventureDeveloper: Odd MeterPublisher: 11 bit studiosRelease: 05/08/2024If you’ve read my piece about the semi-recent Steam Next Fest that just so happened to feature a demo for the upcoming narrative adventure game INDIKA, you probably know how much I adored everything about developer Odd Meter’s bizarre little project. The way it combined the elements of a historical drama set in an alternate 19th century Russia with its own blend of weirdness had me invested from the very first minutes of the demo, and it managed to hold my attention all the way through – even when I was solving an environmental puzzle while trying to tune out the taunting voice of the Devil inside my head, or when I was being chased by a massive, demonic wolf. Because yes, those are things that happen in this. Anyway, the game has a new trailer out, and it’s just as weird as you’d expect – said video also announces a May 8 release date as various characters dance to retro-style music inside a blood red disco. Or, well... that’s what it looked like to me, at any rate. Here it is if you’d like to make sense of it yourself:

INDIKA will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
