Metal Gear mastermind Hideo Kojima sure loves teasing his fans with bits and pieces of info delivered in snippets – and this time, we learned some additional information about his much-anticipated current project, Death Stranding. Previously, we’ve learned that the game – originally announced at E3 2016 – will be an open-world action title, which might not come as a colossal surprise following Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. In a recent chain of tweets, however, Kojima Productions confirmed that Death Stranding will have a co-op element of some kind, and that they are also considering the possibility of adding a female protagonist, albeit casting is still underway. We also learned that the game is scheduled to be released sometime before the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and the new Akira movie… which is fairly vague, but better than nothing.

Death Stranding is currently expected to launch only on the PS4.
