Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise, the Switch-exclusive sequel to 2010’s Twin Peaks-y murder mystery adventure, has a new trailer out – but don’t let its tourist brochure-esque opening sequence fool you. The town of Le Carré may seem like an idyllic holiday destination at first, but this is Deadly Premonition we’re talking about, so it doesn’t take too long for the video to get all sorts of… weird. The game, in an interesting twist, will follow dual narratives: Francis York Morgan, the original title’s protagonist, investigates a series of mysterious murders in 2005’s Le Carré, while FBI agent Aaliyah Davis is looking into some long-forgotten secrets in the year 2019. The new trailer focuses primarily on York’s side of the story: it introduces the various side-activities you’ll be able to partake in while exploring Le Carré – including bowling and bayou river rides – before going full-on psychological thriller with chainsaws and dead bodies.
