Now, we all love games like Symphony of the Night. Well, most of us do, probably, judging by the overwhelming success of SoTN designer Koji Igarashi’s very own Kickstarter from
earlier this year. The point is, when something attempting to imitate its iconic style, we take notice – and this is no different in the case of Dark Flame, a game that – if you squint hard enough – may very well be the great PSOne action-RPG. You’re not a vampire here, though: quite the opposite, in fact. Dark Flame puts you in the role of a crusader by the name of Taharial who sets out on a journey to purge the lands of evil, as crusaders usually do.
The game’s Kickstarter campaign is looking to raise at least $75,000 to make its initial goal, with several stretch goals planned. If you’re on the fence, there’s a playable pre-alpha demo available for download. If the campaign is successful, Dark Flame is aiming for an October 2016 release.
