Taiwanese developer Glass Heart Games and publisher Another Indie have revealed that their side-scrolling action game, Vigil: The Longest Night, will be releasing in early 2020. As explained by its creators, the game takes place in a world with no sunlight and follows the adventures of a young warrior called Leila as she tries to find her missing sister and battles hordes of terrifying abominations along the way. Vigil was inspired in part by the Castlevania series, as well as titles like Salt and Sanctuary and Bloodborne, with the team hoping to tell a “unique tale of eldritch horror that blends Lovecraftian prose and Taiwanese culture”.

Vigil: The Longest Night will be coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4 in early 2020, with a Switch version arriving later.
