Cuphead, the stylish 2D platformer with visuals inspired by 1930s cartoons, will be delayed to mid-2017. The game has been in development for quite a while now: its first teaser was posted in 2013, and we ourselves have reported that it’d be coming out sometime in 2014 – a plan that obviously couldn’t be realized. The explanation for the delayed is simple and brief: the team wishes to keep their vision intact, which means more work and polish is required, resulting in the delayed release.

Cuphead will be launching on Xbox One and PC.
