After much speculation and what seemed like a leak indicating a July release, Bandai Namco has just announced the official release date for Code Vein – and no, it’s not July. The game will instead be launching on September 28 for PS4, Xbox One and Steam. In case you haven’t been keeping an eye on the title, Code Vein is an action-RPG from the developers of God Eater that takes place in a grim, post-apocalyptic world and puts you in the role of vampires known as Revenants. The game also seems to play an awful lot like Dark Souls, which is something even the developers are fully aware of – if you remember, the project was initially teased with the phrase “Prepare to Dine”.
