Co-op horror shooter Sker Ritual will be receiving a time-limited demo for the duration of next week’s Steam Next Fest (June 13-20), came a recent announcement from developer Wales Interactive. Serving as a spiritual successor to 2020’s Maid of Sker, the game pits you against the terrifying hordes of the Quiet Ones – monsters wielding unique abilities that force you to constantly adapt in order to survive. Playable in solo or in co-op with up to four players, the alpha demo will feature one map (The Cursed Lands of Lavernock) and matches limited to 30 minutes; players will also be able to wield a variety of steampunk-inspired weapons and upgrades, as well as customize their characters with unique, horror-themed masks. The beta version, scheduled to launch later this summer, will add more enemies, guns and even some as of yet unannounced features and functionalities such as the “Miracles” system.
