Indeed, if the title of Iconoclasts rings a bell, you may have indeed played a brief – though sadly unfinished – demo of it many, many moons ago. I was one of those people, and I have to admit, the pixelated adventures of Robin, the female mechanic left me with much anticipation for a final release that I hoped would one day happen. And now, it appears that day could be as early as next year, though creator Joakim “Konjak” Sandberg has yet to confirm a specific release window at present. Iconoclasts is an action/adventure platformer starring the young and talented mechanic Robin, who – during her adventures – will come into contact with a militaristic religious order known as One Concern. As you may expect, it’s going to involve plenty of action, platforming and some puzzle solving as well, all presented through Konjak’s colorful art style.
The game is expected to be released on PC, Mac, Linux, PS4 and PS Vita, and is currently up on Steam Greenlight. You may also check out the developer’s channel for more gameplay videos.
