If you’re eagerly waiting for Castlevania spiritual successor Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night but need a little something to work up your appetite with before the main meal, you’re in luck: Ritual of the Night’s retro-style companion game, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, is already out. Bearing an uncanny resemblance to classics from the 8-bit era, Curse of the Moon puts you in the role of the demon slayer Zangetsu as he traverses many dangerous areas filled with monsters. During your travels, you’ll meet various other adventures that you’ll then be able to recruit as playable characters – this, in turn, can affect not just the difficulty, but your ending as well.

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon is available now on PC, PS4, PS Vita, Switch, and 3DS – however, the 3DS version in Europe has recently been delayed to May 31, while the Xbox One versions will only be released on June 6.
