Starcraft, the big daddy of competitive strategy games, as well as a classic RTS gem in its own right, is getting remastered. Indeed, almost two decades after its original 1998 release, Blizzard’s highly-regarded title – and its expansion, Brood War – will be coming to your modern screens in full-fledged 4K resolution, while also keeping its core gameplay and art style unchanged. Other than the audiovisual polish, Starcraft Remastered is also getting comic book-style story interludes to make the experience feel a bit fresher, while the original, non-remastered game (alongside the original Brood War) will be available for free as
“Starcraft Anthology”.
