Team17 and The Game Kitchen have unveiled the next free update for 2D Metroidvania action-platformer Blasphemous, and it’s going to be a crossover with yet another titan of the genre –Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Titled “Strife and Ruin” and slated to launch on February 18, this new quest sees Miriam, the protagonist of Bloodstained, make an appearance in the world of Blasphemous to seek help from The Penitent One, who must collect shards to repair Miriam’s portal home. In addition to all that, Strife and Ruin will also feature a boss rush mode, a unique “Demake Area” with classic 8-bit visuals, new render styles and various bug fixes.
