Developer The Game Kitchen and publisher Team 17 have announced Blasphemous 2, a full-fledged sequel to 2019’s highly successful metroidvania/soulslike action game. Serving as a continuation to the original game’s Wounds of Eventide DLC, the storyline will see the Penitent One rise from his grave as the dreaded Miracle returns, forcing him to delve deep into the secrets of a new and strange land teeming with horrific monstrosities. Treading familiar territory, the sequel will once again give players a huge, non-linear world to explore, several colossal boss fights to tackle and various new abilities and weapons to master as they work to untangle the eerie mysteries of their new – and unchangingly grim – environment.
