We continue our coverage of E3’s trailer extravaganza with a whole host of amazing new announcements.

Babylon’s Fall

The Quiet Man

Square Enix’s showcase was brief and wasn’t all that eventful, but one of its highlights was probably PlatinumGames’ upcoming game, Babylon’s Fall. The Quiet Man also looked fairly intriguing.

Beyond Good & Evil 2

Absolutely no one was surprised to see Beyond Good & Evil 2 return to E3 – the bigger surprise, instead, came in the form of what the new trailer showed about protagonist Jade… but we’d rather not spoil it for you. Oh, and we also didn’t quite expect Joseph Gordon-Levitt himself to appear on-stage and announce a partnership between his company HitRECord and Ubisoft, which will allow people from the community to contribute to the game. If their work makes it into Beyond Good & Evil 2, contributors will be compensated, the exact process of which is detailed on the official site of the company.

Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey

How do you improve Assassin’s Creed? By turning it into The Witcher 3, of course. Sadly, Ubisoft couldn’t exactly surprise anyone with the announcement of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, seeing how the game had already been leaked seven hundred times before the show even began, but hey, whatever. It happens. AC: Odyssey, set in ancient Greek, will also offer exciting new features such as RPG-esque dialogue options and romancable characters. We’ll also be able to pick between two playable characters: Alexios and Kassandra.

Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami (PC)

Valkyria Chronicles 4 (PC)

SEGA made a number of exciting announcements during the PC Gaming Show regarding various games that the company would bring to the PC. These include the hugely popular Yakuza 0 (set to be released on August 1) and Yakuza Kiwami, as well as the much-anticipated strategy game, Valkyria Chronicles 4.

The Sinking City

We also saw a new trailer for the H.P. Lovecraft-inspired The Sinking City, which actually showed off a decent bit of gameplay. The game will be out on March 21, 2019.

Maneater

Maneater is an open world action-RPG from the developers of Killing Floor where you play as a shark, and that pretty much tells you all the important things you need to know about it. I’m convinced, at any rate.

The Last of Us Part II

The second installment of The Last of Us looked visually stunning, even if its gameplay trailer seemed almost completely scripted.

Ghost of Tsushima

Ghost of Tsushima is a game taking place in 13th century Japan during the Mongol invasion of the island – you’ll play as a lone samurai, one of the last surviving members of your clan. Expect flashy graphics and intense katana battles.

Nioh 2

And while we’re on the topic of samurai – guess what, Nioh is getting a sequel.
