Developer The Farm 51 has announced Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone, a sequel to 2021’s Chernobylite. A post-apocalyptic action-RPG that takes place in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, the game will have you step into the boots of a parallel world-hopping planewalker trying to survive the nightmarish dangers of the Zone after it’s been altered by the mysterious, high-energy material known as Chernobylite. Interestingly enough, the game also switches things up a bit compared to its predecessor, and will instead be played primarily in third-person mode, although a first-person viewpoint will also be available, the developers confirmed. As for what to expect in terms of gameplay, players will be encouraged to try a variety of different builds and playstyles during their adventures, then switch between them on the fly by using – you guessed it – the art of planewalking. To use the devs’ example, you could totally be a charismatic, silver-tongued sniper if you so desired, but if the situation demands it, you could try switching to another build and use your powerful melee weapons to crush the opposition. Improvise, adapt, overcome, as they say. Here’s the reveal trailer:
